Now I Know

We are all here to live every situation you can imagine, good or bad; right or wrong; positive or negative. Why? So we can learn from the experience as part of the adventure of life.  Murray Kibblewhite

Deepak Chopra in his book, “Ageless Body Timeless Mind” page 282 says

“…….. when you see yourself in terms of timeless, deathless Being every cell awakens to a new existence. True immortality can be experienced here and now, in the living body. It comes about when you draw the infusion of Being into everything you think and do.”

While Chopra explains this possibility in more depth there is, in my opinion, a link between his statement and accepting that everything is a learning experience.

Therefore, a change of thinking from accepting the Duality (everything is either right or wrong, good or bad, positive or negative)to the event is a learning experience, then you can draw in the information of Being and become at one with God.

For example, one of my female clients who is starting a new business asked me to give her some feedback on her personality. So I drafted out a table with five factors of which I assessed two at 100% and three at only 50% each.

Then I explained briefly the reason for the 50% grades, and finally, knowing her personal circumstances, I gave five options for handling her situation.

Her response was to say that she was offended because it included a “sexist” statement!

She did not give any response to the grading given or the reasons for the gradings. She only commented on two of the five options.

From my point of view, I felt an “infusion of Being” preparing the report that was to help this person.

Unfortunately, she only saw where her pain came from and could not accept the other aspects of the assessment.

So I learnt that you attract to yourself what you need to know. And, as a mirror of myself, I had to review the experience and realise I was not seeing my own self fully and therefore I was putting restrictions on myself.

In her case, her background, especially at a young age, showed she experienced family difficulties that still had to be cleared, as she can only see her pain.

All life’s experiences are opportunities to learn. The challenge is to decide, what are the real lessons to be learnt?
