Now I Know

We are all here to live every situation you can imagine, good or bad; right or wrong; positive or negative. Why? So we can learn from the experience as part of the adventure of life.  Murray Kibblewhite

As discussed in posts 076 and 079, we all have “enduring vulnerabilities”  from which we have developed “control dramas” So how do we eliminate or clear our “Controlling Responses And Processes” (C.R.A.P.)

In his book, “The Celestine Prophecy”, James Redfield says, on page 127:-

“Each of us go back into our past, back into our early family life, and see how this habit was formed.

Further down he says: –

Each person must reinterpret his family experience from an evolutionary point of view, from a spiritual point of view, and discover who he really is. Once we do that, our control drama falls away and our real lives take-off.”

Redfield then explains the four control dramas on page 128 & 129:-

Interrogator – they ask questions of another with specific purpose of finding something wrong.

Intimidator – they create fear in you by threatening you either physically or verbally.

Poor Me – everything they say or do puts you in a place where you have to defend against the idea that you’re not doing enough for them.

Aloof –they attract your energy by remaining distant so you have to give them extra attention.

There are other ways of clearing your “control dramas”. For example the Church of Scientology has a proven and effective system using “auditing” and “the purification programme” using exercise and spas to sweat out toxins.

So what is the learning?

Once you understand your own: control drama” we are free to continue with it or consciously cease using it.

If we let it go then, as Redfield says on page 131,

… We can find a higher meaning for our lives, a spiritual reason we were born to our particular families. We can begin to get clear about who we really are.”

All life’s experiences are opportunities to learn. The challenge is to decide, what is the real lesson to be learnt?

How to use:-

1) Accept you need to change your Attitude and Actions on a daily basis.

2) Read, view, discuss and learn other ways. Set time aside daily to study.

3) Practice a new action until it becomes a better habit. Then tell your friends.
