NOW I KNOW
We are all here to live every situation you can imagine, good or bad; right or wrong; positive or negative. Why? So we can learn from the experience as part of the adventure of life. Murray Kibblewhite
CASE STUDY –WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO SHARE SUBJECT CAREER
Yesterday I had lunch with some old friends, C and his wife S. It was sixteen (16) years ago when they first came to NZ from Singapore.
We swapped stories of what we had done in the past twelve (12) months. All of us in our own ways had been inventive and entrepreneurial.
As well as continuing with production of her range of skin care products, S had developed a new snack product that was very healthy as it was full of seeds and nuts and was attractively packaged.
C had helped her as well as becoming the sole Australasian representative for a Singaporean printing equipment manufacturer and print supplier. He also passed on to me some valuable tips on how to negotiate with Chinese businessmen.
In turn, I outlined the further developments and refinements I had made to my App and the fundamental lessons I was teaching to the owners of small start-ups.
Then we discussed various alternatives for marketing both the skin care and snack food products and agreed they needed to license or partner with another established larger NZ manufacturer so as to be able to scale up to commercial production.
In the afternoon over coffee we took some selfies, one of which is shown above.
Later that evening we exchanged texts and C sent the quotation below:-
“The best feeling in the whole world is watching things finally fall into place,
After watching they fall apart for so long.”
I am hopeful to enjoy this feeling in 2018!
So what was the learning?
Good things, like good wine, need time to mature,
I learnt to continue being patient and enjoy the journey rather than force desired results.
All life’s experiences are opportunities to learn. The challenge is to decide, what is the real lesson to be learnt?
How to use:-
1) Accept you need to change your Attitude and Actions on a daily basis.
2) Read, view, discuss and learn other ways. Set time aside daily to study.
3) Practice a new action until it becomes a better habit. Then tell your friends.
