We are all here to live every situation you can imagine, good or bad; right or wrong; positive or negative. Why? So we can learn from the experience as part of the adventure of life.  Murray Kibblewhite

My flatmate asked me to help him as he was going to Queenstown for work for two weeks.

I agreed to transport his Chinese clients who he had booked earlier. He had four bookings two in either week.

The first group of three I collected from the Domestic Airport in Auckland and took them to their hotel, which was only 300 metres away! They could have walked there!

The next day was the second trip for me as I had to collect the passengers from Auckland International Airport and take them to a hotel in the middle of the city. This was a very different job because I would have to drive through heavy traffic and choose the best route. This was going to be a challenge!

On the way to the International Airport I saw very large ques of traffic in both directions on motorway and I wondered again- which way to take my clients into the city?

I arrived early so stopped at a car park close to the International Airport. Out of curiosity, I asked a local taxi driver who said the congestion would clear after the peak period. Helpful advice but still left me wondering what the best route to use.

Then minutes before I had to leave to collect the passengers I received a text from my flatmate in Queenstown that resolved my dilemma.

Follow the instructions from the GPSwhich I had on my mobile phone!

Excellent advice but had never used it!

So I called him and he explained how to set it up – which I had to remember – as I was using the phone talking to him!

I opened the app and entered in the delivery address. Then another call to my flatmate for final instructions. Further adjustments and I had to leave to collect the two Chinese ladies.

I listened intently to the instructions and followed them closely as we travelled a new way for me, through a recently opened tunnel and arrived without delay at the correct address without incident!

So what is the learning?

I learnt four things: –

  • Don’t worry
  • Trust AI (Artificial Intelligence)
  • Follow instructions without question, and
  • Enjoy life!

All life’s experiences are opportunities to learn. The challenge is to decide, what is the real lesson to be learnt?

How to use:-

1) Accept you need to change your Attitude and Actions on a daily basis.

2) Read, view, discuss and learn other ways. Set time aside daily to study.

3) Practice a new action until it becomes a better habit. Then discuss with your friends.
