CASE STUDY – WHAT IS A SPIRITUAL PARTNERSHIP?

Recently I reviewed my feelings towards my business partner after the event I wrote about in the post 037.

First, why did she reject my complement? She said my comment was ‘sexist”? I discussed the situation with a friend who was from the same culture as my business partner and he said it reflected her upbringing. In his eyes, she had learnt to be suspicious of compliments as they may have led to her being abused!

The second aspect was my feeling of rejection! But on further reflection, I realised her pointed rejection related to my “complement”, not our business association.

Yes, you will be saying – don’t confuse relationships – it is business and other relationships should not be allowed in!

My reply is, maybe! Because if feelings are not returned how can a person continue the association? It’s one-sided and difficult for the “pinning party”. Ha. Ha. Ha.

How can a person deal with unreturned feelings and still have a normal business relationship?Talking with my guides they suggested going up to my next level and offer a “Spiritual Partnership”!

Gary Zukav in his book, “The Seat of the Soul” describes “Spiritual Partnership” extensively on page 162 and includes, “Spiritual partners recognise the existence of the soul, and consciously seek to further its evolution.” And further on, “They consciously co-create their experiences with each other, with an alive Earth that loves Life very much, and with a compassionate Universe.”

Therefore, with considerable self-discipline, I am learning to love not only my business partner and all other persons, in fact, everything, without the condition of receiving the same love in return.Not easy when you have just watched a Hollywood movie where the main characters live happily ever after!

But I’m trying.

Learnings–

Where a feeling is not reciprocated then I have had to learn to accept the situation and also learn to give “unconditional spiritual love” in the form of a “Spiritual Partnership”.

All life’s experiences are opportunities to learn. The challenge is to decide, what are the real lessons to be learnt?
