CASE STUDY – WHAT CAUSES PROBLEMS IN YOUR HEALTH? SUBJECT: Health

The other day I spoke with two people who were either sick or looking after someone who was ill. And these two cases make me think of a third example.

Why were these people sick?

The first person is an older lady who is unable to walk easily and recently experienced severe pain from having kidney stones. What could have caused her to have kidney stones?

So I checked in my health bible, “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise Hay. On page 187 she says the probable cause is – “Lumps of undissolved anger.”

That reason was justified because this lady was a perfectionist with strong opinions and she was angry because of restrictions caused by her health issues.

The second person was man in his 50’s who rang to tell me he could not attend a meeting that day because he had a dreadful cough, with sneezing and all the symptoms of a severe cold. It was unfortunate so we agreed to meet again when he felt better. Could there have been something that caused him to be like he was?

So again I checked the book to see what Louise said. On page 165 she says the probable cause is – “To much going on at once mental confusion, disorder. Small hurts.”

That explanation was justified, in his case, as I knew he had a lot on his plate.

Both these situations reminded me of one of my ex-partners who over the 20 years I knew her she had two knee replacement operations, shingles and now has Parkinson’s disease. What could have caused her to suffer this way?

So, for a final time, I checked to see what Louise Hay said about Parkinson’s disease. On page 197 she said the probable cause is – “Fear and an intense desire to control everything and everyone.’

Once again the explanation was accurate and pertained to the person.

However, understanding the cause is one thing, having the strength to make the necessary changes, is quite another mater!

Learning

So what is the learning?

To me if each of these people had investigated the possible cause of their health problem they could receive a guide or indication of the reason for their distress.

And to me, knowing what was the possible cause means they could learn to make the appropriate changes in their life.

Yes I know it is easy to say but hard to do. But if you can find out the root cause you have the opportunity to change.

All life’s experiences are opportunities to learn. The challenge is to decide, what is the real lesson to be learnt?

How to use:-

1) Accept you need to change your Attitude and Actions on a daily basis.

2) Read, view, discuss and learn other ways. Set time aside daily to study.

3) Practice a new action until it becomes a better habit. Then tell your friends.

CASE STUDY – NEED FOR EXPECTED ALERTNESS SUBJECT: Health

Yesterday after yoga I had coffee with my teacher (one day she may become my guru!). She was in a situation of setting up to travel overseas and had to prepare for her absence.

We had our normal robust discussion about how she could operate. I found her approach to business difficult to accept from my experience as a business planner. Eventually I accepted her approach as a form of “expected alertness”.

Today I have been reading “The Twelfth Insight” by James Redfield where, on page 16, he says:-

“In practice it boils down to consciously expecting the next Synchronicity to come, which means we should go into a posture of ‘expected alertness,’ a mood that’s not that easy right now, because we always think we’re behind, with too much to do. But staying in this state of alertness helps us immediately, because it has the effect of ‘slowing down’ time.”

It seemed to me that my teacher had adopted this attitude expressed in her own words as, “the Universe will guide me.”

Earlier on page 14, Redfield says:-

“But each of us has to make a decision. Will we embrace this deeper spirituality, or go into fear and foreboding? It is a challenge of courage, but also of practicality. In some sense, events are forcing us to put our beliefs into action. The only way to survive the level of turmoil we are facing in the world is to pursue life in a different way.”

So here was an example of pursuing life in a different way by not forcing the issue, but being mindful of an expectant for a suitable outcome that will suit.

Learning

So what is the learning?

We must learn to be mindful and patient.

Redfield on page 15 says:-

“When we enter a flow of Synchronicity, clarity and aliveness is what we get. When we fall out of the flow, it is what we lose.”

All life’s experiences are opportunities to learn. The challenge is to decide, what is the real lesson to be learnt?
